Pacific Orcas register an easy victory over Star Lions
Put into bat, Orcas made an imposing 204 for 7 in 20 overs and then restricted Star Lions to 114 for 2 in 20 overs. Manas and Vibhu opened the innings for Orcas and registered a 100 runs opening partnership, with Manas leading the scoring and notching up a half century on debut. Kanishka and Koshal then provided the middle order fireworks in the second half of the innings, scoring 52 runs off 26 balls between them, and Miling playing a cameo towards the end to take Orcas past 200. Lions started off the chase cautiously, and with Venkat and Adnan giving nothing away, it was 41 for 1 in 10 overs, taking the require rate past 16 runs an over, virtually sealing the game for Orcas.
